While my internet is working I thought Id update.
The holidays were great. I loved every minute I got to spend with Mel and my family. The time with her was the best christmas present. I expecially enjoyed when she came up to toronto with me. We had so much fun.
Shannons wedding was great. It just made me even more excited to marry Mel.I knew that she was expecting me to propose new years eve at dinner so nelly and I came up with a way to surprise Mel. We talked her into going to Nellys party after the dinner. So I'll start the story off there.
We got ready and walked over to the restaurant (which Im sure is the fanciest place either one of us had ever been to). Ordered the most amazing food ever and some Pinot Grigiot (so tasty). I could tell as we got further throuh the dinner she was getting anxious. I was laughing a little inside, not gonna lie. It was so cute. I could tell she was nervous and anticipating when I would get down on my knee. When we finished and were walking back home I could see the confusion and dissapointment in her eyes. LIttle did she know what was coming up.
Nelly and her friends came to pick us up about 30 minutes later. Now I LOVE nelly for this. She egged Mel on totally. Kept asking her where the ring was and why I hadnt proposed. Sh explained to Mel that we had to put our stuff in her room but she needed a couple minutes to tidy up. Mel found this weird cause she was used to a little mess in Nelly's room. We arrived and Nelly ran upstairs and closed her door. Of course Mel being the nosey rosey she always is kept trying to open the door (ALLLLWAYS ruining my surprisd for her I tell ya!!!).. We kept dragging her away from the door and she kept asking why we were being so bitchy to her.. MUAHAHAHAHA.. So nelly opens the door and the lights were off.. I lead Melly into the room and told her to take a seat next to where the candles were lit ( Bon Jovi's Always playing in the background).. I still dont think it hit her yet.. So I took my coat off and grabbed the ring out of my pocket and the poem I had written for her (I'll probably read it at the wedding so I'll keep that secret for now).. When I got down on my knee ( I'll never forget the look on her face), her eyes lit up and she began to get teary eyed. I read the poem and opened the box and asked her to marry me.. I dont think I ever shook that much in my life.. I thought I might pass out.. I knew she would say yes. .I wasnt nervous about that.. But its like HOly shit this is really happening.. Then she totally took me back.. She went and took out a blue box from her purse and opened it.. It was the most beautiful ring (aside from hers !).. So after all that excitement I rang in the new year with my baby and our friends.. Absolutely amazing!!
Now back to school.. Another 4 months of lonely hell without my baby or my boys :(
